John Ellis - Evolution Seeds & Streams

Released in 2016, Evolution: Seeds & Streams, was pianist and composer John Ellis’ only release for Gondwana records. Perhaps best known for his work with Cinematic Orchestra and with singer-songwriter Corinne Bailey Rae, Ellis is a genuine legend of the Manchester music scene who also runs his own studio.
Originally commissioned by Manchester Jazz Festival 2015, Evolution: Seeds & Streams, is a beautiful global-tinged chamber jazz piece featuring strings and kora alongside strings and horns.
