GoGo Penguin - Fanfares

The debut release from GoGo Penguin and featuring the original line-up of pianist Chris Illingworth, bassist Grant Russell and drummer Rob Turner, Fanfares captures a band on the cusp of greatness.

Drawing on a heady brew of influences from Aphex Twin to Brian Eno, Debussy to Shostakovich and Massive Attack to EST. Fanfares won raves reviews from the Guardian to BBC Music and support from the likes of Mike Chadwick and Gilles Peterson and was nominated for best jazz album at Gilles Peterson's World Wide Awards.
